I am pleased to announce that the
Schepens International Society Meeting will be held October 25 -
27, 2007 at the Willard Intercontinental in Washington, D.C. We
are looking forward to hosting an exciting weekend of scholarship and camaraderie in our Nation's capital.
Please help us celebrate the life of our
founding member, Charles L. Schepens, M.D., who passed away March 28,
2006. Dr. Schepens will be remembered for his brilliant and
multifaceted career as one of the Ten Most Outstanding
Ophthalmologists of the 20th Century. We owe so much to our
esteemed colleague, Charles L. Schepens. A teacher, mentor,
scientist and friend, he touched the lives of people around the globe.

The Willard Intercontinental Hotel
Located in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C.,
The Willard Intercontinental is the premiere hotel in the
D.C. Metro area. The hotel is only a few minute
walk to the White House, National Mall, superb restaurants and
many other area attractions.

will be required to hold the reservation. Participants are
welcome to bring spouses and guests, who can join optional
tours during meeting hours.
Continuing Medical Education
The Schepens
International Society 2007 Meeting will be planned and
implemented in accordance with the essential areas and policies
of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
through the sponsorship of the Washington National Eye Center at
the Washington Hospital Center. The Washington Hospital
Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education to provide continuing medical education to
physicians.
Although total CME credit
hours haven't yet been determined, participants will be able to
claim a maximum of approximately 16 category 1 credits towards
the AMA Physicians Recognition Award.
